hub and significant emerging corridor for agriculture exports.\u200e<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, ports and terminals in northern Brazil recorded the fastest growth in the \u200ecountry, reinforcing the strategic role of the \u201cArc of the North\u2019 corridor in reshaping the \u200enation\u2019s logistics map.\u200e<\/p>\n<p>The two terminals play a key role in connecting the producing regions of Brazil, the \u200eworld\u2019s leading sugar exporter and one of the largest grain exporters, to the world.\u200e<\/p>\n<p>AD Ports Group agreed to acquire CLI from joint owners Macquarie Asset \u200eManagement, and IG4 Capital. In January 2025, \u200ethe Group agreed to invest about USD 30 million in the greenfield Sarzha Grain \u200eTerminal on the Caspian Sea at Kuryk Port in Kazakhstan and earlier this year, the \u200eGroup secured a 30-year concession to operate the Aqaba multipurpose port in \u200eJordan, which is a key player in agri-bulk in the Middle East with over 3 million tonnes \u200eof grains handled annually. Moreover, Noatum Ports\u2019 Spanish operations are already \u200esignificantly involved in agri-bulk with the Tarragona and Sagunto terminals handling \u200earound 2 million tonnes of grain imports annually and with an additional investment of \u200eAED 90 million (EUR 21 million) announced recently for modernising existing facilities \u200eat the Tarragona terminal. \u200e<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, CLI handled a combined 17 million tonnes of agri-bulk cargo and delivered a \u200erevenue of AED 654 million (USD 178 million), generating an EBITDA of AED 360 \u200emillion (USD 98 million).\u200e<\/p>\n<p>CLI operates one of Brazil\u2019s few large-scale, agri-bulk port platforms, strategically \u200elocated along export corridors and ports. The ports of Santos and Itaqui are \u200estructurally constrained, particularly in Santos, where limited expansion capacity and \u200echronic congestion are expected to underpin long-term utilisation and pricing \u200eresilience.\u200e<\/p>\n<p>Long-term demand for the Group\u2019s Brazilian terminals is also supported by Brazil\u2019s \u200eglobal leadership and the strategic importance of the country\u2019s grain and sugar \u200eexports.
