an additional 30% equity stake valued at AED 1.1 billion (USD \u200e\u200e300 million) in one of its most strategic assets, Global Feeder Shipping (GFS), raising \u200eits holding to 81%. \u200e<\/p>\n<p>In February 2024, AD Ports Group acquired a 51% stake in Dubai-based GFS, the \u200eworld\u2019s fourth-largest container feeder shipping line by capacity, with a call option to \u200eincrease its ownership by December 2026. The Group has now exercised this call \u200eoption at the same total Enterprise Value of AED 3.67 billion (USD 1 billion) set in \u200e\u200e2024. The acquisition will be funded through a mix of debt and asset monetisation \u200etransactions. \u200e<\/p>\n<p>AD Ports Group\u2019s container feeder shipping business, which involves the transport of \u200egoods using small and medium-sized vessels between major transit hubs and smaller \u200eports, has grown rapidly since its initial launch in 2020. GFS is among the Group\u2019s \u200emost strategically significant assets. Through a sustained period of maritime \u200edisruption, GFS has maintained and expanded trade connectivity where other \u200eoperators withdrew, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of cargo for customers across the \u200eGCC region, whilst serving the Indian Subcontinent, Red Sea, Far East, \u200eMediterranean, and Africa regions \u2014 reinforcing AD Ports Group\u2019s role as a reliable \u200eenabler of trade through volatility. Since the acquisition of its \u200einitial 51% stake in February 2024, GFS generated total cumulative EBITDA of over \u200eAED 1.8 billion (USD 500 million).\u200e<\/p>\n<p>Alongside SAFEEN Feeders and Transmar, GFS forms the core of the Group\u2019s \u200econtainer feeder shipping business, providing essential services for the movement of \u200egoods in and out of the UAE. In 2025, overall container feeder shipping revenue rose \u200e\u200e17% year-on-year from 2024. The business also expanded the Group\u2019s global \u200efootprint, playing an integral role in its trade ecosystem spanning Ports, Economic \u200eCities &amp; Free Zones, Maritime &amp; Shipping, Logistics, and Digital services business \u200eclusters. \u200e<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, the total revenue of the Maritime &amp; Shipping Cluster grew 33% to AED 10.7 \u200ebillion while the Cluster EBITDA rose 25% year-on-year to AED 2.5 billion.
