Dhabi\u2019s new central commercial district.<\/p>\n<p>Over 250 delegates, ranging from Abu Dhabi\u2019s key decision makers to investors, business leaders and financiers from around the world, have taken part in the event which was organized in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and Institutional Investor Forums (iiforums), a leading provider of investment strategy conferences.<\/p>\n<p>CEO and Managing Director of Kizad, Engineer Khaled Salmeen, was one of the top guest speakers, giving insights into the development process of the mega industrial zone while discussing its crucial impact on the UAE and Abu Dhabi\u2019s economic diversification.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Salmeen took part in a panel discussion entitled \u201cWhat makes the UAE so different?\u201d, together with other high profile panellists, such as Samir Salloum, President of the French Business Group, Abu Dhabi, H.E. Fahad Al Raqbani, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development, and Mohamed Al Hosani, Regional Development Director of the Western Region Development Council (WRDC).<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on Kizad\u2019s participation in the 6<sup>th<\/sup> UAE Global Investment Forum, Salmeen said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Investment Forum is one of the most important communication platforms for experts to discuss the country\u2019s economic challenges, developments and opportunities. On our mission to reduce the reliance on non-renewable energies, the UAE\u2019s newly given emerging market status shows that we are moving in the right direction. Kizad will play a vital role in accelerating that movement towards 2030, where ADPC and Kizad are expected to contribute 15% of Abu Dhabi\u2019s non-oil and \u2013gas GDP by then.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Being a cornerstone of Abu Dhabi\u2019s Economic Vision 2030, Kizad is one of the region\u2019s largest industrial undertakings. Together with the adjacent Khalifa Port, it covers an area of 418 square kilometres \u2013 two thirds the size of Singapore.
