REQUIREMENT
For Polar Specialized Industries (PSI) LLC, a subsidiary of privately-owned holding company Taha Investment Group, the capacity to produce and assemble specialised industrial components close to its customers in the petrochemical, refrigeration, and oil and gas industries is essential to the smooth and effective operation of its business.
The company, which was founded in 2010 in the UAE to serve the country and region’s energy and other heavy industries, started its operations in Abu Dhabi in 2019. It is based on a foundation of forty years of dedication, trust, and the highest calibre requirements. With a bedrock foundation in the refrigeration industry, PSI develops system components for usage in industrial projects of all scales and sizes.

The spacious location and the connectivity provided by KEZAD made it a preferred location for PSI to set up its new plant, which fabricates extremely large equipment that is used in a wide range of local and international applications. The company needed a spacious location that was close to Khalifa Port, and KEZAD offered an unmatched strategic location. According to the company, KEZAD provided them with distinctive benefits, which can potentially help it achieve its growth objectives and uphold its basic principles. These benefits included:

OUTCOME

Polar Specialised Industries' manufacturing facility is the largest production facility in the United Arab Emirates, spanning a total land area of approximately 23,617 square metres, of which 2,350 square metres have been set aside for future growth. Its extension into AD Port Group's KEZAD has been strategically significant.

  1. The company’s manufacturing facility in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi, houses the production of pressure vessels, storage tanks, racks & packages, valve stations, customised mobile containers, thermal insulated doors, high-speed doors, and PE swing doors. The facility is also used for offering surface preparation through sandblasting and spray painting.
  2. PSI primarily uses its KEZAD manufacturing base for its B2B operations and its products are applied in various industry segments. Its engineering services allowed our sister company ADEAREST to fulfill their client’s specifications for the effective refrigeration of fruits and vegetables on a farm site in the UAE.
  3. The company’s major industry segments are the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Refrigeration sectors. Besides pressure equipment and customised cooling solutions, it also produces thermal insulated doors for commercial, semi-industrial and industrial use.

KEZAD’s proximity to Khalifa Port allows PSI to efficiently ship finished products to its clients worldwide. Upon evaluating KEZAD as a prospective choice for setting up the base, the company observed several advantages that aligned with its organisational objectives.
